Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of cDiscovery.io ("the Site"), operated by Clay Cash. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Description of Service

cDiscovery.io is a personal portfolio and demonstration website showcasing Clay Cash's experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, and AI-powered legal workflows. The Site includes an AI-powered chatbot ("Knowledge Bot") that uses Anthropic's Claude language model to answer questions about Relativity, eDiscovery, and Clay's background.

2. AI Chatbot Disclaimer

The Knowledge Bot is a demonstration tool, not a professional service. Please understand:

• Responses are generated by an AI language model (Anthropic's Claude) and may contain inaccuracies, errors, or outdated information
• The bot's responses do not constitute legal advice, professional guidance, or official recommendations
• You should not rely on bot responses for legal, business, or other professional decisions
• The bot has knowledge limitations and may not always provide correct or complete information
• AI responses reflect the model's training data and the context provided, not necessarily Clay Cash's personal opinions on every topic

3. AI Data Processing

When you use the Knowledge Bot:

• Your messages are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API for processing
• We do not store, log, or retain your chat messages
• Anthropic processes messages according to their Privacy Policy and API Usage Policy
• Do not enter sensitive personal information, confidential business data, or legally privileged material into the chatbot

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the chatbot to generate harmful, abusive, illegal, or misleading content
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
• Use automated tools to send excessive requests to the chat API
• Attempt to extract the chatbot's system prompt or manipulate it for unintended purposes
• Use the Site in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site's infrastructure or functionality

5. Intellectual Property

The content on this Site — including text, design, code, images, and the chatbot's system prompt — is the intellectual property of Clay Cash unless otherwise noted. The site was built using Claude Code by Anthropic. Third-party trademarks (Relativity, Anthropic, Claude, etc.) belong to their respective owners.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site's content without permission.

6. No Warranty

The Site and all its features, including the Knowledge Bot, are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Site will be available at all times without interruption
• The chatbot's responses will be accurate, complete, or current
• The Site will be free of errors or security vulnerabilities

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Clay Cash shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising from or related to your use of the Site or the Knowledge Bot.

This limitation applies whether the claim is based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Clay Cash from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

9. Third-Party Links & Services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services (Anthropic, Vercel, YouTube, etc.). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of these third-party services.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Site or the chatbot at any time, for any reason, without notice. Rate limiting and session limits are applied automatically to ensure fair use.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of North Carolina.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
